A while back, I made a steampunk lamp that I fell in love with. So, that lamp became my inspiration to make a matching tumbler. I decided to use this 30oz tumbler and began sculpting the details using molds and Apoxie sculpt (two-part clay) to create the pipes, bolts, screws, the welded walls on the back of the pipes, and the compass that's on the tumbler. Once completely cured/dried, I spray painted the whole entire tumbler black. In which I later painted again with bronze and hints of copper. Once the paint was dry, I felt like it needed a little more color to bring out the details that has been lost. I then did a black wash, to throw on top of the tumbler to reveal and darken all of the details and fill in the crevices. After all of the painting and sculpting was completed, I then epoxied the cup twice to ensure the entire cup was covered in epoxy. I absolutely love the way this cup came out and hope that you will love it as much as I loved making it. The cup is perfect for Halloween, Goths, and anybody who loves the steampunk art, look, and world. This cup is also gender neutral as it can be gifted to male, female, of anybody in-between. This tumbler comes with the lid and straw. This design is perfect for any steampunk lover!
